Mercedes-Benz plans to unveil all electric plug-ins next month at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, according to Hybrid Cars. All models go zero to sixty in under 11 seconds!

The BlueZero E-Cell has a range of about 60 miles on a two hour charge. Included is a turbo-charged three-cylinder engine that has a range to 375 miles. The third model, the BlueZero F-Cell, uses a hydrogen fuel cell delivering 136 horsepower and zero emissions.

CHICAGO (Reuters) - President-elect Barack Obama underscored on Saturday his intent to push initiatives on climate change by naming John Holdren, an energy and climate specialist, as the new White House science adviser.

Holdren is a Harvard University physicist who has focused on the causes and consequences of climate change and advocated policies aimed at sustainable development. He has also done extensive research on the dangers of nuclear weapons.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese researchers have reproduced images of things people were looking at by analyzing brain scans, opening the way for people to communicate directly from their mind.

They hope their study, published in the U.S. journal Neuron, will lead to helping people with speech problems or doctors studying mental disorders, although there are privacy issues if it gets to the stage where someone can read a sleeping person's dreams.

Well, while I am sticking to the kinder more gentler version of hair care, I am wearing my hair pulled back most days. But with a clip which is probably less damaging than a hair tie. After trying several different alternatives to the no wash days, this seems to be the simplest and makes me the happiest.One such alternative was the set. Said to be making a comeback (Vogue, January issue) I decided to give it a shot. Simply set barely damp hair on rollers and allow to dry completely (about an hour).
