Jul 16, What about those nails?

In the world of safe organic cosmetics, nail polish is rarely discussed. But I must admit, those beautiful little bottles are one of the vices I have had trouble letting go of. Bare fingers (and, especially, toes) seem so naked when left unpolished and no amount of buffing seems to satisify my need for the well mani-ed (pedi-ed) nails.

That being said, I do hate to apply super-toxic chemicals to my body in the name of beauty. Thankfully, I discoverd Zoya. Though not organic this polish is free from toluene, formaldehyde and phthalates --three highly toxic ingredients worth avoiding-- and comes in a highly-satisfying array of beautiful hues. My favorite is Sabrina, a very pale pink shade that gives nails the look of a fresh manicure (many people have asked where I get my nails done) after just a single coat. Add a second coat a week later and you have yourself a very low maintenance mani. For toes this season try Elodie, a bold poppy cream perfect for summer.
